Hey TPF,

Been a long time since I was active on the forum, but I need some tips!

This photo I took has the appropriate color that I want on the right side of my image, but I have a bunch with a purple-pink cast on the left side.

I have been fooling around with most of the color related tools in Elements 11, but have not found a solution.

Any tips would be greatly appreciated!

Use the Quick Selection too and select either the subject or the background. If you select the subject, invert the selection so the background is the active selection.
Does Elements have a Refine Edge function for selections? If it does, you might want to use it.

I don't know if Elements 11 has a Magic Wand tool, but that might also work to select just the background.

The active selection edge acts like a wall and any edits you do will only affect what is inside the active selection.

Then you can use the clone tool and use a lighter portion of the background as the source clone over what looks to be light fall off and shadow from less than effective lighting.

Quick and dirty:

Yup. Rectangular selection --> "feather" it an appropriate amount using selection refining tool (requires intuition or guess and check) --> color balance tool to adjust to fix it.

The color change will then gradually be weaker further from the edge, which is appropriate, since the color cast gets gradually weaker away from the edge. So if you guess an appropriate feathering amount (how quickly the selection falls off) to match the gradient of the cast, you can nail it.
