How to store cameras and lenses to avoid lens fungus?

I have a DSLR with two lenses, and an old 35mm film rangefinder. I keep both cameras in the bag that came with the DSLR, in a wooden closet. The DSLR usually has one lens attached and the other lens in kept in the box it came in. I live in a very humid climate so i'm worried about getting fungus on the lenses, what precautions can i take to avoid this?
