How to take shoots like this?

Good camera, good lens, proper lighting, knowledge of camera settings, experience with a post processing program such as photoshop or lightroom...

Stop spending money and learn photography.

p!nk

The motion shot are walking speed.

The rest is mostly lighting, and knowing how to do photography

You can fake the motion with photoshop, but you aren't going to fake the lighting.

Those pics (some of them) look like they're taken with a rig. Basically an arm is attached to the car, sometimes with a suction cup or something, and the camera is on the end of it, pointed at the car. The car is driven slowly and some semi-long shutter speed shots are taken remotely, which gives everything motion blur except for the car. You also have to photoshop the rig away which isn't always easy.

As my dad always said you have to have the software before the hardware. aka you have to know photography before you can ever do it. If you have a computer and no software to run on it, it can't do what it was intended to do.

Can't make a camera take a shot like that if you don't know how to make it do that...

Read. Read. Read. Research. Research. Research. Read more...spend a little money, practice practice practice. Refine, learn from your shots, and fix your previous issues in your next shots.

Repeat process.

Ok, first thing that I notice this photographer is doing that is not "buy more gear" related.... He is shooting at diagonal/unorthodox angles ...this is a theme is many of the images and something you can do right now.

Secondly, the motion blur can be created in photoshop, however as in almost all images....its best to capture it camera. Which means a flash to freeze your subject (the car) and a slow enough shutter speed to blur the background (the road).

Or if you have a tripod and are really lucky with your panning skills you can create this. Either way...you probably DO NOT need more gear than you already have to create this....just more creative problem solving.

Hope this helps

Ps- They probably did use strobes to shoot this...but that doesn't mean you can't shoot something just as cool or even better without strobes.

The real "secret" to photography...keep an open mind and practice constantly!

the non moving shots look like light painting to me.
