the hairbands around the wrist drive me crazy in photos.

It depends on what type of look you're going for.

I'd probably whiten/brighten the teeth, clone out the hair band, clone out the indentation from where the hair band was, clone out the little black dots on the inside of her hand, soften up the bags under her right eye (and maybe a touch around the left eye), even out the nail polish on her ring finger, dodge up her face just a touch, and burn down her shirt just a touch, eyes need major sharpening.

As far as thing that probably can't be fixed very well, that could have been done better in the camera: the flowers could probably stand to be more out of focus. They're kind of oddly dark looking and they mostly distract from the subject. I think her fingers are kind of awkwardly close to her mouth (but maybe that's just me). Picture seems just a tad bit blurry. Was this purely natural light? Seems like a softbox a ways away from her upper left (camera upper right), powered down a bit could have helped a lot with the lighting.

Got it... Good call especially on the teeth... I didn't notice how yellow they were...

I like the crop better too, but I'm not sold on the vignette.


I made the following adjustments based on the feedback I received:

1. Whitened the teeth
2. Cropped the image
3. Stamped out the hairband indentation on the wrist
4. Touched up the nail polish
5. Made a slight brightness adjustment
6. Cloned out the dirt on the model's hand

Lower the brightness on the shirt and her arm/hand so that they don't pull the eye.

I like your edits, and I agree with the critique previously given.

The two things I'd add is that IMO your DoF is too wide. I'd have preferred to see you shoot this close to wide open. And the posing here is kinda wonky. I don't know why you have her hand awkwardly resting on the side of her face. Would have preferred something more natural looking.

Beautiful model, great job on the rest of it.

Yeah this. Doesnt ruin it but not adding much either. But photo looks okay to me.
