Hi, I am looking for an economical strobe to start practice on outdoor photography with shallow depth of field. For that, I want to buy a HSS strobe. All i see in internet is either Profoto (way too expensive to start) or Hi-sync models of Elinchrom or Broncolor. Are there any other manufacturers who make true HSS at an economical price? Here are my requirements: 1. Want to synch with shutter speed of 4000th of a sec. 2. Aperture will be as wide as 2.8 3. Outdoor most of the time 4. Full power of atleast 400ws If anyone of you have experience with Elinchrom or Broncolor Hi-synch, pl. share with some example pics.
Xplor 600? the NON-TTL HSS version is about $499 US dollars, with triggers. The TTL models are much more-costly (and NOT needed by most people). Flashpoint Rapid HSS
