Hummer Visitation

When my wife's Mum was alive ( she lived in Sheffield, England ), my wife was outside standing on the landing talking to my MIL on the phone. A hummer came by within a couple feet and her mother was able to hear it and asked " What's that sound?". Technology is wonderful sometimes :)

It's a different 'hum' that comes from my wife.:D
 
Terrific capture! I'm guessing a female Ruby-throat, which is what we have the most of here in the SE USA.

I'm detecting what looks like some processing-type brushing along the branch.
