Anna's Hummingbirds, male and female, rare for me to see out here this far on the Olympic peninsula.

Those are some fancy f***ing birds!! Very nice work also! How close were you able to get? The few times I've seen hummingbirds (more ordinary types) they didn't really seem overly shy, but I'm sure it varies some with species. I ask because these don't look like they were taken with an extremely long lens.

no a short lens..LOL....Sigma 50-500mm and shots where taken between 250mm and 500mm They where between 8 to 12 ft away Id say
