I am a grown man/woman but i still can't...

I am a grown woman, but I still can't...

...grow up. :lmao:

Seriously, most of what immediately comes to mind isn't "can't" it's "won't."

For instance: I am a grown woman, but I still won't go down into the dark, nasty basement when I hear a noise down there, because I fear I'll find a rat...

I am a grown woman, but I still won't deal with the arses at my cable company, and so I will sometimes go without the cable or internet working for a week or more until one of my boys can come over and get it sorted out.

I am a grown woman, but I still won't take that gross stuff out of the refrigerator and actually CLEAN out the container it's in. You know, the stuff that you see back there and you have some vague recollection of it having been around Christmastime, but you can't remember if it was deviled eggs or sweet potatoes, and it looks nothing like either. In fact, it looks like it might very well WALK out of the fridge itself if you remove the lid...yeah, that stuff is the reason I only buy those cheap plastic containers now instead of Tupperware. I take that whole container and toss it in the trash--and swear, once again, to quit putting leftovers in there since I never end up eating them. :D

I can't make people *see*. I try and I try.

Andrew has reminded me of another:

I can't make people read, even though I know they would benefit.

Ah, well, NOW we're kinda getting into "pet peeves," of which I have many, but:

I still can't make people write as though English were their native language. I'm not asking for brilliance--but I'd sure love it if I could make it through ONE day without seeing the rampant misuse of "it's/its," "their/there/they're," and "to/too."

I can't dance very well... but I would like to learn.

Oh, right. Can't dance either.

Runnah; are you getting all this down? When do we start paying you to keep quiet?

Well my next thread is titled "Share one secret that could be used as blackmail"

We'll see how it goes.

I once saw a sign with the "word" its' - I speechlessly pointed it out to my wife, who dragged me away knowing that if she didn't my head would explode.

But if we share it, it can no longer be used for blackmail.

...find happiness in my life. I struggle to be happy and I think I would be happy if only I had the following:

1. A job that I could rely on to keep me employed for the rest of my career;
2. A better support system with respect to my hobbies; and
3. More free time.

Too heavy?
