Jeanne: you must make the salad you are describing for the barbecue I am planning to have (and am planning to have everyone prepare some food for it!) on next year's Germany-meet-up! You must. That one sounds DELICIOUS (says who usually loves the salads, erm: the bunny food, best of any barbecue! )

For I am planning to have that one BIG party in our garden (give me good weather for it!!!!) where - in case you have hosts - those and you (the "international crowd") will bring their own food and salads to contribute to the "salad side buffet". And the more varied the better, of course!

salad? there is nothing like generic salad ... there are thousands of things called salad which all look and taste different and have totally different ingredients. Seen globally, the percentage of salad which can be combined with dressings is a minority.

Some are rather meaty, some are fruity, some contain rice, others pasta, some have shrimps, some sweetcorn.

.. oh, and then of course there is the boring cesar salad, which needs interesting dressings to come alive.

I once had a bunny (no, not in a girly-sense ) which preferred carpet and power cords. Especially the latter was a bit of a problem.
