What were you trying to achieve with these shots?

On the first two I wasn't trying for anything. But on the third I was going for the silhouette look

The first 2 your crops dont work. centered and too tight

The third shot is way too busy. the tree by itself would be fine or the church but both is too busy

I used Photo Shop elements 5.0 and did a lighten shadows 100%

All the pics are kind of dark and moody, which I like. I tried playing that aspect up a bit with the icicle. Just some ideas to play with.
- darkened the background
- sharpened the ice
- added a blue colour cast
- off center crop
It's tough to avoid the ghosting on the small web version of the image, but it is just to get an idea of ways you can go with it.

Here are some edits... couldn't seem to do anything with the bell.

I clipped the blacks to give you the look you wanted and i just felt like changing the sky

I like macmans renderation of the ice
