That just made me realize why mine is more expensive than the one Bace linked to...mine is a Sandisk II, not a regular one, so, if I'm not mistaken, that just means it reads faster? :scratch:

Does that make a huge difference?

I figured I'm down for the cheapest cause I'm broke. But if there's a huge difference in speed with off loading pics, I might just get a 512mb card.

Yes, the faster cards do write and read faster...but from what I've read...it's not much of a difference. Writing faster (while shooting) is only important if you have filled the buffer. The only way you are going to fill the buffer...is if you are holding the button down...shooting like a semi-auto. The 300D does have a smaller buffer than most of the newer DSLR cameras...but probably much better than most P&S camera.

As far as speed while off loading...I don't think that the time difference would be too big...and are you really going to be in a hurry off loading?

For me personally...I'd rather save the money and get the cheaper 'regular cards'. Although I do have one Sandisk Ultra II (on sale) and one Sandisk Extreme III (gift).

I don't often use more than one or two cards in an outing...so I generally use the best ones I have...but I have not noticed any difference in performance between the expensive ones and the cheaper ones. (Regular Sandisk & Kingston).

We're going to Ikea this weekend :cheer: I love that store. Other than that, I'd like to try and take some pictures at some point and hit up the Chick-fil-a down in Nashua. MMmMMmm..

I've still got a gift card from our wedding, for IKEA. I like that store....but I HATE all the people there...it's too crowded...and the place is a freaking maze....I don't want to go all the way though bedrooms just to look for a TV stand.

Hobbes forgot to mention that we're driving 4-5 hours round trip to get to the IKEA :lol:

The closest one to us is in MA and they just opened recently. At least the baby likes to ride in the car

I love Ikea. I love walking around and picking all these really cool looking things, and slowly finding out as I walk around which ones are more worth it.

Last time I went I picked up bathroom racks, some mirrors, a bunch of small things....only walked out with the mirrors....which I left at my Dad's house and still haven't picked up.

Ok...I hate Ikea.
