That's not spam...that's a notation appended to posts made on mobile devices. It performs multiple functions. It keeps raging A-holes from criticizing lack of capital letters and punctuation on posts that have been typed on teensie-tiny little "keyboards", and also tips off others that the poster is accessing the thread on a mobile device and not a full-fledged computer, ultra-high-speed cable connection, and the ability to view huge images,etc.etc. Certain posters have a habit of bitching and moaning about lack of capitals, slight misspellings, etc,etc...and yet, they tend to make a lot of misspellings themselves...huh...do as I say, not as I do...
[This post was made using a 30 inch Apple Cinema Display connected to an outdated, pre-Intel-based professional Macintosh tower, using a Apple-designed,Macintosh-only web-browser, and Mac OS X software, and typed on an Apple keyboard paired up with a Microsoft Comfort Optical Mouse 1000, connected through a Linksys router bought at Goodwill, and connected to the Inter-webz via Comcast.]
I always thought it was something the posters were typing in - or at least something they have set to automatically show up, like a signature.
I post from my phone a lot, and that crap never shows up on my posts, lol.

Interesting, most modern devices fix bad punctuation and lack of capital letters for them. My ipad does.

It didn't fix when you typed out "iPad" without a capital "P"!
