I love freckled faces

Yesterday I went to the beach with a couple of fellow photographers and got a few portraits in throughout the day. These are my favorites.

Shot in natural light.

This is Leighton. I realize the depth of field could have been wider.

And this is Justin, Leighton's boyfriend. I would feel bad if I left him out.

these are nice.. What lens did you use? The texture on their skin is amazing.

The fact that Leighton's nose is slightly out of focus adds to the image as it implies an intimate closeness. And yes, freckles are (in my mind at least) beauty-spot sprinkles.

Thank you. I used a Canon 85mm f/1.8 lens on an old Canon 5D MKI body.

I like #1 the best Dan! Yes the nose is a little soft, but the look evokes emotion.
