I need a true critique - Photo Contest Submission

I work for BASF Chemical Company and every year they have a photo contest for next year's corporate calendar. This year, the images had to have three of the 6 BASF colors in it (red, blue, green, orange, and light blue).

The little one had on pink pants and shoes so I color adjusted it. It seems a little saturated to me.

This is my favorite image I have ever taken but I like my B/W version, but the contest is for color only.

I am just not big on this version

I the the reds on the pants are a little over-saturated.

I would probably crop out the sky portion. Imo the brightness of it really draws attention away from the umbrella (girls). Nice photo though, I am sure you will do well in your work contest!

After the success you had with the B&W version, I'm surprised that you would try this same shot in a color contest. Don't you have any other pictures that would work?

I like the idea, but this needs to be re-shot using a polarizing filter to kill all the glare and "naturally" saturate the colours. I might also try one with them looking toward the camera, just for comparison.

Looks tilted to the left a little but I think you have good exposure. There are so many leaves and other types of detail I would probably have used wider aperture to get the foreground leaves/colors and leave the background to fade away. Thats just my 02 cents though. Could also crop some of the background away like paigew said.

The red bush on the left is a bit distracting. You could easily make it green.
