I saw them, I liked them, & I Shot them.

I've always been an outdoors type of guy. Growing up on farmland, that's how us "southern bred" boys grew up, is running around in the woods. However, I don't know a single thing about wildlife names of ANYTHING, lol. To be honest, I can still barely tell the difference between a carnation and a rose. I can spot poison ivy/oak from a mile away, though.

Anyway, my point is, I have no clue what these are... I just thought they were pretty, so I shot them.

They appear to be domesticated orchids -- moth orchid possibly.

I'm sure they looked very pleasing to the eye. The use of the flash kind of kills this for me. It gives them an unnatural look with all the small specular highlights in the petals giving the appearance of a noisy high ISO shot. It also takes away any warmth from the image.
