What's new

I spy with my cameras eye.....

What are "hoodoos" ?!?!?
I have never heard that word before - and it has something to do with GEOLOGY????

They are those strange rock formations - I think without doing any research it is just due to water/wind erosion. There are a few in Alberta that I know of. Strange looking things.

I spy something that starts with a "B"

Corinna, They are rock formations pretty common in the western United States. We studied them when I was going to school in El Paso, Texas. They are pretty much formed by erosion. When it snows there, the snow will kind of seep into the cracks of an already eroding plateau of the rock and then melt and then freeze again and it does this over and over and over causing big gaps called "hoodoos"

Bikini?

boat raft? belly-spill? (Oh goodness, my apologies if you know that person. I sound so crass!)
