I wanted to get out in the field and try out my 'new' 105mm Micro. Comments welcome!

Don't know why, Sparky, but I like number 10 the best of the lot by far. That one's print worthy to me for some reason. Nice work on them all.

Just too many pictures to go one on one. Pictures 1 & 6 are my favorites. In each case you handled the delicate whites extremely well. Not an easy task in bright light. If I had to pick just one picture, it's #1, both for it's nearly perfect exposure, and brilliant composition. Truly well done.

Overall, some nice images. A note on the flowers in direct sun. The direct sun can easily wash out subtle colors and makes for harsh and distracting shadows. I use a small translucent diffusion screen overhead to soften the light and increase the saturation. Depending on the situation the difference can be pretty marked. The image below is off my website in an article I did on macrophotography techniques.

I had a 22" 5-in-1 with me, but with 40mph winds, it was near impossible to use.
