I like the composition of the first picture.
Second one is absolutely First rate.
#6 I didn't understand what it is, though I like the colour.
Did you raise the ISO? There's some noise in the pictures.

The sixth shot is an oak leaf coated in ice. I took it just because I thought it looked cool.

I have a digital point and shoot camera at the moment (Nikon Coolpix 3700), so I really have no way of controlling the ISO. It does whatever it feels like. I'm really looking forward to getting a digital SLR in the (not so near) future.

The horizon is a bit too centred for my liking in both the first and the third ... it is considered better - compositionally - if it is either in the upper or lower third of a frame.

I really like that icy tree with the sun behind. That makes for a good, very glittering pattern.
And I have liked that ice-coated leaf from the start. Also I think that it looks "cool" ... that leaf might even think in the terms of "cold" or even "icy-cold" .

But the little icicles off the pines are a nice sight, too!!!

*sighs* Yeah, I know. I still have a lot of trouble following the rule of thirds. :|
