I'm looking for feedback and general thoughts on this photo

It's OK. The out of focus hands in front of the face are distracting and very dominant in the scene, the lighting on his face is not bad retaining some detail in the shadow, but the fall off is quite harsh turing the shadows to pure black quickly while his shirt has no detail. Looks to me like it was shot close up with a wide angle lens emphasising the size of his arms and hands but making his head quite small in comparison. The stare out of the frame kinda makes it look like he's watching some sport and having a cuppa. There's no real visual clues to point me toward what you were aiming for here, though what there is conflicts a bit. The shot's dark and moody, but his pose is reasonably relaxed (sitting back), slightly defensive/tense with the arms across his body and the out of frame gaze is like something else has his attention/interest
