More than what I got. The guy claimed to not be able to offer much for the picture, as he had to buy all the pics for the book. He said $100 was all he could pay. I asked how many books he planned to sell and he said 15000, so I counter offered for the $100 plus .01 for every book sold, which could end up around $250 total, plus 2 copies of the book. I would guess between 3 and 5 hundred would be worth it for that picture, but I was afraid if I asked too much he would look for another photographer that would be thrilled just to get their pic on the cover for free. As I am adding more things to my portfolio, I am asking more and more.
