They actually are harmless. Found one crawling across my bed when I woke up one morning. It was right after I had moved to Hawai'i. Actually, it was what woke me up. It "tickled" my face.

yeah, they taste really good deep fried. ever tried them with mayonnaise and a side of chips though? they are amazing.
