This really looks like just two flower next to each other and not even the best view.
There's lots of space up top that doesn't add to the composition.

It looks properly exposed and I like the way the flowers are lit but I have to agree with Traveler that it isn't overly exciting. I was told here once that, when shooting flowers, look for an interesting perspective not how we see them every day. Try some new angles or creative composition.

I like the lighting and I think I see what you were thinking here with the petals touching as if holding hands. Try some different crops either off the top or less stems to see if you drive the viewers attention to the subject you are after.

The shot is nice and sharp and well lit as already mentioned. I would have tried a shot from below looking skywards through the petals or top down so we could get a look inside.

If you want to make some artsy image out of these two flowers ( I am not that romantic and do not think plants ever fall in love, even if they touch each other, so to me personally it is a boring image, sorry), but if you want to add some color and interest to it, take some colorful fabric or a bright contrasting hat, anything bright you have that contrasts and complements the color of your subjects (or shall I say lovers?) and put it behind the flowers, open up the lense to blur your new background and you will have a much more appealing image. Probably. Or probably not - but it is worth experimenting.
