Can others edit my Photos
Photos NOT OK to edit
having been out of the "film" world for a few decades,
@71 yrs old, I find myself with a box of 35mm slides that
are deteriorating quickly and 35mm negatives that have no prints.
and a cigar box full of 120 med format B&W negatives that need to be printed.
I have looked at so many entry level scanners until I am blue in the face.
what I need is the entry level scanner that will do the 120 medium format
negatives. I'm pretty sure there are some 126 Instamatic negatives in there too.
the budget is less than $200. does this seem realistic ?
thanks for any and all info provided.

John

I use the Epson V600. You can see the results on my Flickr page.

There's a steep learning curve however. If the numbers of photos and films are not too great, it may be better to have them handled by an outside lab. Check their prices and make a decision. Good luck.

thanks for your time guys !
this project is just to get my negatives and slides printed
for the grandkids. because I know once they grow up and get out on their own,
they will have zero interest in slides or negatives.
at least on photographs, I can write the info on the backs.
thanks for the V600 link, Scotty. it will take some time to study!
I'm still comparing the options.

Thanks for all the good feedback, guys.
I purchased the Epson V600 from BestBuy and I must say it is
a handy little machine to have in the home or office.
I made a makeshift light box to go through all my slides and found
that only 10-15% of them meant anything to anyone. they scanned
beautifully !! also, the color and B&W negs scanned great as well.
I will be keeping this one and donating my older HP scanner/printer
to the Goodwill.
now - to work on what new digital camera to get !!!!!!!!!!!
thanks again for your responses, I'm glad to be here.
John
