Defects noticed while scanning black and white 35mm negatives on Epson V850

With the Epson scanners (V700 and XL10000) I use film holders I made out of matt board for 110 and other odd sizes up to 8x10. I just tape the down the edges.
I used this as a guide.... How to Calibrate the Epson v700 Film Height Adjusters.

Forgot to mention you can adjust the height of focus through Epson scan......

yes, i know, but i did find an article that i have to look for that referenced making your own holder and then testing it for the focus issue.

If the defects werent in such weird places i would just retouch them out, but im not that good at photoshop.
