my biggest complaint is the totally empty blackness on the right. Otherwise a very appropriate mood for the wardrobe


PS: a simple 8x10 crop will help IMO

I've got version not as dark, but i think it's better. It's got better atmosphere i think.

I agree with Buckster.. the plate distracts! The darkness I can live with as it helps to isolate the subjects.. although there is a lot of it. A vertical crop with subject off center camera right might work too..

I would also lessen the highlight on the plate camera left also...

It is a nice shot!

The first distraction has been noted, the plate between the faces. Also, the wall piece above the gentleman's shoulder does encourage the eye to venture there for no good reason, plus I think the gentleman's shirt is a bit bright, detracting from the couple's faces.

Personally, I really like the light to dark transition in the shot and gives it some chairoscuro effect.

Lastly, I would have liked to see the woman extend a few of her left hand digits. They look truncated as a whole.
