~ In Tribute To Shang ~

A photograph of a charcoal drawing I did based on a vintage Canada goose decoy carved by Charles "Shang" Wheeler of Stratford, Connecticut. Shang is amongst my favorite New England decoy makers and his work was truly floating sculpture.

Charcoal on archival grade artist's drawing paper.

Nice lil charcoal drawing there, a toast to Shang!

I took a pic earlier today that I like a lot and it's got the creative juices flowing. I may break out the Paasche VL that I've never used and still in the box and see if I can do an air-brush copy of it.
