incy wincy spider on a mint bloom

Pretty cool shot! Not sure what caused the multi-hued reflections, but they look very interesting. This is a slightly unusual photo, less clinical than many spider macros, and that's just fine by me. SOme of the legs of the spider look almost see-through.
 
One of my former band students informed me that it was a tick and not a spider. That is why I am a band director and not a biologist.....lol

I was gonna say, that looks like a tick.

Tick fun fact: Ticks hatch with only 6 legs, but will molt and grow 2 more after it's had its first blood meal.

This one definitely has molted. This thing was no bigger than a match head.
