I took these next to a field, and they grow wild here in Oklahoma :)

Nice pic. I like the view point that puts the flowers at the same scale as the utility tower and trees in the far distance

I think you should be a little higher get more of the top of the flower. Unless you were trying for something else

Thanks Bamps! This was taken while out walking, and that is the viewpoint I was going for :) This flower is actually a parasite, but a pretty one :)

Do you know what settings you used on these

I think it was the flower setting, but not sure :) Was a while back when I took them :)

Your paintbrushes look a little bit different than ours...but I suppose it's a regional thing and since that's a common name it would stand to reason they would look different.

They are very pretty, are they pink? Ours are a deep orangish/red coloration and have slightly different leaf and petal structure.

Of all of the pictures you posted I prefer the one with the clustered flower heads, mainly because I like the sky/flower contrast. In all honesty I would like to have seen more sky and less ground. The entire cluster backlit by the deep blue sky would have been very pretty. Or even more green and less sky and have the cluster backed by the green..one or the other.

They are reddish, the last pic it what color they actually seem :) I think the sky makes a wonderful background, I use it alot :)

Be mindful of your backgrounds. The power lines are not helping the composition.
