Yesterday the company that we contracted to do some film work for us came in to do some shooting. While he was busy, I was running around like a tourist taking as many photos as I could. Most of them are out of focus (I haven't gotten the hang of manual focus, especially when I'm not using my tripod), but there are a few that I like.

Here's one of my favourites. Shawn hard at work in the mixing room.

I'm wondering why you are focusing manually.

The lens I was using will not autofocus on the D5300. It does not have it's own focusing motor in it. Lens was very cheap (basically free with the camera) so I'm not too concerned.

If I upgrade to a camera with a built in focusing motor I'll be laughing!
