Great photos mate .... the b/w really gives them a feeling of authority ... colour wouldn't have been half as good ... My fave has to be ,..... #2 .. he looks like he is making a hand gesture ....

JonMikal, this is a wonderful series you've captured here. Nice sharp, crisp photos with a wonderful depth of field. I was in DC back in the fall when I took a trip to Maine and watched the guard for quite a while. I apparently just missed the changing of the guard though I'm going to have to make another trip to try to see all the wonderful shots that you've posted.

I know this is a very highly regarded and honored position, but I kept wondering how bored they must get and what they thought about all day.
