Never say die from the friendly fanatics at FPP:

Hope our customers don't mind paying the hefty price to scan that crap. Currently we charge $10 a strip of 4 frames and yes the scan is uneven if the 4 frames are uneven.

Dunno. This crew caters to a very definite(contrarian?)audience that pays big to shoot Nixon-era cameras and other oddball gear.
They're still here so someone is still living the dream and buying the stuff.

Interesting to try but too cost "hefty" for me. The format is just too small.

FPP services a definite nostalgia niche. Friends buy their stuff. No complaints. Film is pricey for everyone now and scarce locally for many.

True sir, and it's no time to be penny foolish as my dad would say.

When I was 12 it was one of these that gave me the bug, one of those "open me first" Christmas gifts.

After a few rolls of disappointing shots, I couldn't wait to get a real camera. My older brother brought home a Cannon range finder after his tour in Nam. I never looked back.

Just can't imagine paying these prices for going that far back in time to get really crappy pictures.

Low-fi photography is still a "thing." Nano-trend influencers/celebs shill all sorts of crap. 35mm-120 still work but this stuff shot with feeble p&s gear is a little much.

I look to film for its quality results and I get them. Not to say all out of my cameras is top quality photography but that's my fault.

It's not always about getting magazine-cover quality shots. Sometimes it's just about having fun.

Exactly, being retired from work thankfully, I look to photography whether digital or film as my reward.
