Photos NOT OK to edit
A few months ago I purchased an Instax Wide 300 off eBay, it has been a great camera and I've had lots of fun using it. A few weeks ago the lens cover stopped closing properly, the top half is permanently retracted and when the camera is on the bottom half doesn't fully retract. While this does create an interesting effect on any photos in direct sunlight I would like to fix it if at all possible. I have been unable to find any information online about how to fix it and wondered if anyone on here had any experience with the same or a similar problem. Photos attached for reference.

Fujifilm service or a new camera. Not much scope for DIY Instax repair.

Is there any update on this? im currently experiencing a similar issue with my lense covers.

Good luck. Those get thrown in the trash at my work if broken like that.

If it's anything like.my friend's instax mini you'll have to pry off the front outer ring on the lens without breaking it. Then there was another retaining ring inside holding the tow cover halves. Hers just came apart in a fall and thankfully nothing broke, but there's alot of thin fragile plastic in there; good luck.

Love these needy drive-by posts!!!
