Interesting. The shadows are very noisy, so you probably underexposed them and then pulled them back up, which exposes lots of noise. Personally, I'd pull less detail from the shadows and let a lot of it stay pretty close to black. To me, that would make for a more dramatic image. I've been qualifying what I said because this is subjective and you may have had a reason for producing both the noise and the detail, so if that's the case, just ignore me ...

I love the concept... but not the tone... it is too grainy, and as such everything is less defined and has less impact.
