I think I understand why you took this shot and apparently with no notice to the subjects, but for me, I regret the background clutter and "backward" lighting.

If only you could have asked them to pause momentarily and pose for you, you may have had a much better photograph.

I disagree with Designer on this. I actually chuckled when I saw it. I love grandma's expression. A posed shot would never give that emotion regardless of background or lighting.

I also like the shot, the old lady makes it and how she is holding onto her husbands arm and the way he is looking away thinking, god woman why do you always have to take me bloody shopping, and he actually looks a bit like HCB. Never ask to take a shot all the emotion will be gone

I like what I see in this photo. I think that B&W was a great choice, I could see where the sky would be tough in color on this one.

Street photography is not posed, the only way to get this shot was with back lighting

My 5min edit...you can fix this it will take a little work but the shot is really good the POV and the emotion of the couple is great ...take out the man on the left and clone out the TV and pole junk

Still very much a bare noob when it comes to photoshop, so I tend to jump at any practice I can get. I was sorely tempted to crop the top of the dudes head off, as I liked the idea of him rushing out of shot while she pauses, but I wouldn't break such rules on someone else's photo lol.

HCB never cropped because everything was there for a reason
