Thanks for the nice comments everybody! Kilifila - the settings for the 2nd one were 1/1000 @ F7.1 ISO400. It was converted to B&W in PS, i also bumped up the contrast, and used the burn tool on the sky.

Thanks for the response, I have been trying to shoot photos with the light coming down like that and I was impressed with your capture. I will have to try some fast shutter settings like that.
