I use Unsharp Mask quite often. I find these presets from Kelby very useful:

Sharpening Soft Subjects
Softer nature subjects, e.g. flowers, puppies, people, rainbows.
Amount: 150%
Radius: 1
Threshold: 10

Sharpening Portraits
Close-up portraits
Amount: 75%
Radius: 2
Threshold: 3

Amount: 120%
Radius: 1
Threshold: 3

Maximum Sharpening
Amount: 65%
Radius: 4
Threshold: 3

Moderate Sharpening
Product shots, home interiors and exteriors, landscapes
Amount: 225%
Radius: 0.5
Threshold: 0

All-Purpose Sharpening
Subtle, so it can be applied twice if necessary.
Amount: 85%
Radius: 1
Threshold: 4

Web Sharpening
When resolution is dropped from 300dpi to 72dpi, and out-of-focus photos. Adds some noise.
Amount: 400% (try 200% if that's too much)
Radius: 0.3
Threshold: 0

Is it possible to develop presets for these? I have searched the web, but could not find anything.

Not as presets, no.
But you could record them as actions.

While those work as guidelines, many times none of them will be appropriate.

Many of us approach sharpening as a 2 or 3 step edit, all based on edge frequency in an image:
1. Capture sharpening in ACR.
2. Local sharpening in CS 6
3. Output sharpening. Images destined for print can usually tolerate more sharpening than images destined for online use.

If you don't already have it, you might want to get - Real World Image Sharpening with Adobe Photoshop, Camera Raw, and Lightroom (2nd Edition)
