Is this lens distortion?

or did the 600mm lens magnify existing waves in the rails?
these rails looked straight, but i didn't really examine them, then.
they are at a train station. maybe no train passes at speed, so no one notices.

Some lines only ever carry slow moving heavy goods, I've seen ripples like that on those sorts of lines before.

It be the rails. They be warped.

Almost guaranteed to be the rails or the distortion would show up on all photo's shot at a similar distance with this lens.

Every lens has some distortion you cannot escape it, but to find out if your lens has realy bad distortion your need to take a photo of something else, like a brick wall, train tracks can be up and down so not a good subject to tell if its the lens or track

600mm distortion would be of the pin-cushion variety.

This is not pin-cushion distortion.
