Is this photo real or not ?

Hi i am new here and i need you guys to check these photos.

My brother took these photos at some Buddhist temple in Thailand. They said those spheres flying around in the air are spirits of deceased or celestial beings. He also claim those spheres are invisible and only visible if we take a photo of it.

Can any of you explain what exactly those spheres are ?

Unknown or dust or the pictures are edited ?

They're dust flying in the air,
don't know how to explain it, lol.

It's dust (or some other particulate matter) floating in the air.

Looks like dust/rain lit up by the flash. And some of it could be also spots of dirt/drops of water on the lens.

Once I setup a self-portrait shot in my living room... all lights were off and the backlight was really hot, shooting right into the camera. I intended it to be right behind me, but one of the shots it is visible and I couldn't believe the amount of crap floating around in the air.
