Hey everyone !
I'm a new member in this amazing forum, I'm an beginner in photography field and I'm taking it as a hobby
anyways this picture I took in my vacation in Istanbul, was taken by a canon 700D as a raw file and later on I edited it in adobe lightroom. In order to improve my skills I would like to ask you for your opinion related to the picture itself and the modification.. so I can Improve my photography skills and the editing and please be honest, here are the two pictures before and after the modification.

Welcome to TPF. I've moved your image out of the professional gallery to a more appropriate forum. As far as C&C goes... with respect to the original image, the first thing that strikes me is that it is grossly under-exposed; probably two full stops. How did you meter it? It's also on a slight angle (not quite level), but the biggest issue, is that there's no real point of interest. The ship might be interesting, but a stern view isn't all that exciting, and the buildings might be interesting, but we don't get to see much of them. I think if you'd shot this scene much wider, or focused in tightly on a single aspect, it would have had much more impact.

The processed version is somewhat improved, but IMO, still too dark and with too much contrast over the bulk of the image. The vignette doesn't really add either.

Overall, it's a good start, but with plenty of room for improvement. This sort of image may have a lot of meaning for you, having been there and having memories of the area, but for those of us who weren't there, it's rather unexciting.

Thanks for your replay, Yes what you have said is true but I'm still a beginner and even this picture is my first experience in lightroom program .. I miss some taring which I will work on .. in general do you have any tips for me to be better and to enhance my weakened points since I feel so lost and I'm really looking for getting a professional pictures
Note: I have used 50mm lens and it was so difficult to take a wide angel picture since I had to walk back a lot to be able to include this ship and some part of the building
