That egg shaped object was once a drive-through egg store in Guatemala City. It became El Nuevo Museo de Arte Contemporáneo, or NuMu, the smallest contemporary art museum in the world, and arrived at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art a few months ago. When it arrived it was white. I've taken photos of it before, but never at night when it was lit up. I thought it had a "close encounters" feel to it.
