OMG....time to stock up on firewood, buy extra gallons of milk, stock up on beer, bread, and cheese (The Canadian Triumvirate!), salt all the roads, and, well, prepare for the end of the world as you know it.

I'm a little low on milk (but if necessary I can walksnowshoe to the grocery store. Firewood, bread, cheese & beer are all at 'extreme disaster' levels.

Here in Canada South (Oregon) we're looking at the coldest start to a new year since 1979. Sleet, snow, all a little today, but very cold Arctic air mass is over us now. Apparently, this winter storm will spread acros much of North America this week, from early reports I saw on The Weather Channel's on-line side.
