It's been a while...literally had to blow the dust off my camera! Fireworks in Maine on 7-4-25

Took a road trip with a friend up to Camden, Maine on July 4th. Ended the day atop Mt Battie for the fireworks show over the harbor below. These are some of my favorites - you can view the rest on my Flickr if you are so inclined. Comments, suggestions for improvement and/or critique of my editing is always welcome.

These are just stellar - terrific set! (I knew it would be. )

Theyre all great, but I just love the first one. It looks like a piece of fairy land - all those tiny boats, the warm lights from the shoreline buildings, and of course the perfect capture of the fireworks with the reflection on the water - just eye candy.

What a fun vantage point you had!

Thank you. Number three is also my favorite but when I cropped it, I cut off the church in the bottom right corner, which is one of my favorite things about the view. I may do a re-crop and try to bring the church back in without losing the size of the firework.

Thanks so much! It was a really great view and so easy! Honestly, driving all the way up to Maine and driving up the mountain is easier than trying to get in and out of Boston for the big fireworks display.

Thank you. I know that my camera has time lapse capability, but I’ve never attempted one. We were talking about it while we were waiting for the show to start. Maybe next time! If you know of any good tutorials for running a time lapse please feel free to point me in the right direction. Based on your username, I’m assuming it’s your jam.
