Very Impressive. Yeah, I was in Cleveland for a few days on business. GE took us to the ball game...just didn't know we were going to get soaked in the third inning. To be honest, it was nice to see some rain. Haven't seen it down here in Texas in quite a while.

It was alright. Overall, a little dingy. Food wasn't great, but I mostly ate at pubs, so can't really blame that on the city. A lot of the areas were pretty run down. Surprised me to see so many boarded up buildings. We stayed at the Renasaince and it was nice. Seemed like a very historic city from what I got to see of it.

One thing I definitely can't complain about was the weather. Felt like heaven to have highs in the low 80's. We've mostly been around 105-110 here in Dallas.

Overall, good times. We were up at the GE Lighting Institute and there was some pretty cool stuff there. It was neat to talk to the guys at GE that actually designed the fixtures and bulbs that they make. Even learned some stuff about lighting that will help out with my photography.

It was a pretty cool trip and since GE paid for the entire thing, I can't complain. Almost tried to look you up, but I figured we would probably just hate each other. Plus, I was a little bit scared of your fingernails...:lmao:

You were right down the street from me. Too be fair, the city has a ways to go, but it has experienced massive improvement and growth within the last ten years. There is tons of great food to be had! Man! Stay away from chains and pubs! We finally got a break from the heat as well, it had been in the 90's with extreme humidity, but certainly not as bad as Texas.

Hell no. I spent about 2 and a half months in Chicago(well, Great Lakes) from about Jan to mid-March. The water in our freaking canteen would freeze from the time we left the barracks to the time we got to the mess hall. Our scarfs would freeze to our freaking faces. Our uniform of the day was everything in our locker. I will never go back to Chicago, ever.

Yeah, we have this thing around here we call winter. It's not for the faint of heart. Not as bad as the three winters I spent in Michigan's Upper Peninsula in the Air Force, tho.
