The inky black sky in daylight looks somewhat odd. I dunno sleist...this one's not doing much for me.

Good; i feel this needed a bit more empty sky above to avoid the choking feel

I feel like this can't decide if it's a clean and spare composition with a few small details placed against a textured background, OR an architectural shot with context and surround. The sky and the material on the left are either too small or too much. I think the wall with "Jacque's" and the rectangular object (A/C unit?) might make a good semi-abstract clean/spare composition. I think there might be a larger cityscape that includes Jacque's place and some surrounding material.

This one is somewhere between those two, and it doesn't really work for me.

Thanks all. Working something out in my head. Knew this was was miss on a number of levels, but wanted to throw it against the wall.

Lived in and worked in Boston for 2/3 of my 50 years. The usual stuff gets dull after a while.
