This is a street shot of Japan, 1954. My father took this photo when stationed in Japan while serving in the U.S. Air Force. It wasn't until recently (I am now 40) that I found out my father went on secret flight's near the Soveit Union intercepting Russian transmissions.

yay! you had a color films in 50s?!?!?! yay! Because we were under communist force we had color films in... late 80s... shame!

Ok sorry... Before 1983 we had some colour films but they were only for really wealthy people
 
I actually scanned this from a color Kodachrome slide. I forgot what kind of camera he had although I remember seeing it all through my child hood. It had a brown leather case. I think color film was easily had at that time though. But I can't be sure as I wasn't even born yet. He had many color slides made but I don't remember seeing any color prints from that particular time period.
