Do I seem older or younger to you? I would bet older.

You don’t like my shoes? I’ve got wide feet and it’s hard to find a big section of wides at a reasonable price

No sweets, took that shot with the office camera, an older Sony that sometimes is not very sharp, i think they need very good light

Where do I start and how much detail? My travels have all been in the US and Canada expected for a day trip to Nuevo Laredo Mexico looked like it must have been a hot spot in the prohibition days but it could use a little work now.

Jeff, I didn't know (or maybe I did, but didn't realize it) that you took design & drafting. That's also what I took and what I do for a living.

Wow that is a wide-open question! This almost fells like a year-end self-review at work. Well overweight, thinning hair, bad legs/knees and average height that about covers the physical side. Think I’ve always been a bit reserved not really shy but slow to open up to people or make friends. What would you like or dislike about me? Not sure I know how to answer. I'm a bit gassy, but if you have a methane fuel cell generator this could be positive.

Well when in Drumheller, I thought it would have been cool to photograph the dinosaurs but quickly realized that it would be too risky. Maybe something saver like Mead’s expedition of course with a DSRL

I like wide open questions, it gives us half a chance of getting a wide open answer...

As for the "what would we not like about you question", that's just a chance to get people to trash themselves in public - it gives us ritual humiliation options later....

SLR Preferences depend on what you shot. A camera that would meet all my preference does not exist. They are 8-12 mpix, 8-12 fps, full frame, lightweight; well build aluminum body, and a full model line of premium lenses. Also don’t forget budget. Canon, Nikon, Sony and Leica all make cameras with several of these preferences, but none with all. So each of use need to decide what we need for what we shot or want too shot. I shoot mostly with a Canon 1D Mark IIn

Compact cameras: I know nothing about any of the compact digital cameras on the market. And don’t thing I would like any of then. In my opinion rangefinders make the best compact cameras. Leica and the Cosina partnerships of brands are the only companies still making them new models. But they do come in digital.

Video Cameras: This is a still photography forum. My video camera is twenty years old and has not been used in at lest 15 years and may have been thought out with trash.

Portrait lens: Don’t shot portraits but I will share something learned in high school photography class a zillion years ago. People have a comfort zone. That is a minimal distance that they fill comfortable have another person near them. Of course this varies depending on the relationship of people. So the right lens is the one that gets the shot without violating the person’s comfort zone. Mostly like that lens would between 40-100mm. Canon has an 85mm f2.8 that is consider one of the best lens for portraits, I’m sure Nikon has a similar one.

Landscape lens: I shoot a lot of landscapes. Landscape people tend to like wide shots or detail of plants. Right now I’m using a 20-40 f2.8 and 24-70 f2.8 on my SLRs. With my rangefinder a 25mm F4
