it's a bit dark. Hard to see what's going on.

I kind of agree. This shot was really grainy, so I cant bump it up too much. And noise reduction in LR is just softening the photo.

The photo in the original post has been updated to reflect the changes.

That version doesn't look too bad, but it looks like a low res copy so hard to say.
