Today's early morning 3am to 4am Moon Occultation of Jupiter.... This was taken at 4:15 as Jupiter was coming back into view

Proper exposed photo was 1/160sec f5.6 ISO 100

Jupiter with moons exposure was 1/3sec f5.6 ISO 100

Man, that is spectacular!!! What a great image.
Galileo would approve.
Immediate thoughts, the Greeks term the average populace Hoi Polloi. (SP?) Hearding grazing animals, because often we are only concerned with eating. And we seldom look up.
Planets are up, constellations, other worlds, up there. And some we can see with our bare eyes.
Incredible.
Thanks for posting this.
Again, spectacular image.
Well done.
(And thanks for posting the exposure correction for the Galilean moons, about six stops more. )
