Perhaps if you shot along the fence, rather than across from it. it would be more interesting.
Thanks. i like the fence photo but hey, least you didn't say my coffee cup sucked i love that cup. lol

I think the hidden meaning in this one is that it is greener on THIS side of the fence. But I've been guilty of reading too much into things.:D

excellent. i like that i will run with it sounds good.

i am actually messing with the plant behind the fence. sun seems to come through and hit it just right in the morning over there. i just haven't quite figured out what i can do with it.
There is a house on a hill up on the left above it too, just with all the brush in between i don't think i can really go that wide to get the siloutte of the house and hide all the brush and whatever in between. Also kind of checking out the highights because it doesn't take much to lose that little bush with the sun on it and lose all detail.

thinking about it..BRI_8057_02.webp

thanks Ron, i knew what you meant. Nice photos too.. i get shooting down a fence there just isn't anything on either side of it to shoot down too worth the line.
i really just have a fetish with that bush and the morning light but i don't see me getting what i want from it.

here ya go ron. wire fence i put up to keep the dog and kids from straying to far. i think i better clean some of that up before we get more snow and it gets buried forever. Both sides of the fence probably as they seem to throw things over it. Yard pickup is like never ending they just drag more toys out. wonder how many balls are on the other side of the fence right now? Fence doesn't work at all in the winter it pretty much gets buried and the snow drift there is high enough they can usually just step over it. :BangHead:.BRI_8082.webp

I like the cup. I wish I had a cup with a lizard on it. It looks like nice work. I did just enough ceramics to be bad at it, so I'm sure I couldn't do better.

As for the bush, I think your best bet is to get closer and isolate a small portion of it against the darker trees. You may need to underexpose from whatever the camera wants to do to keep the highlights in the bush and have a dark background. This may be a case where you need to do a little (just a little) processing to make the image look like what you saw.

Bribrius, I get exactly what you were looking for. I like KenC's suggestion. I also have seen that kind of back-lit bush and have struggled to capture its evanescence - there's a certain quality to the light filtering through the bush that's very captivating. Usually, however, the scenery besides and behind is not anywhere as interesting, so it becomes a challenge to isolate the "filtered light" from the surroundings that bring down the image. Can't say I've succeeded at it, so can't show my versions of the same idea (unless you like a good giggle :icon_redface: ).

well, what i was actually looking at is sun rays coming down from top right, silloutte house on top left. And bush dead center bottom with that nice filtered light on it. three points (this photo was prolly taken 15 minutes or so too late).
so i was greedy, i didn't JUST want the bush i wanted the three points. Problem is there is all this damn brush in the way. i drop the brightness and exposure to black out all the brush i start losing some of the light coming through the bush. My other thought was putting the bush in the very bottom left hand corner with the sunrays coming from the top right hand corner, and totally ditching the house idea in the background as it seems too unfeasible and making for a mess.
small pet peave, i will get over it. lol course there is also the possibility i have way too much time on my hands and since this is down the road it is incorrectly keeping me pre occupied.
don't mind me.
