Just a Gull

I forget how big these guys are until I get close to them. Not many bodies of water around me are large enough to attract them, so I don't often see them. I also forget how difficult it is to photograph white birds. Easy to blow highlights, easy to get lost in white backgrounds, hard to make stand out, the list goes on... It was also overcast, so no dramatic lighting for me that day...

I saw dozens today perched on rocks along the water by a bicycle path but my cell phone battery needed recharging so no pics.
